Best Casual Asian Eats in Melbourne

Oppa Kitchen: OMG. This Korean place in CBD (Central Business District) was divine…and cheap! Their fried chicken was incredible; my favorite was the sweet n’ spicy, and the soy garlic was yum, as well. I also enjoyed the curry rice with fried chicken. (I went there quite a bit, needless to say.) It’s right amidst the buzz of the city, so hop to a show (I saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child—so good) or a bar (State Garden is a top) afterwards.

Uncle Tetsu: Matcha cheesetart. Wow. And it’s right by Oppa, so you can grab dessert after that KFC (Korean fried chicken).

Food Court at the Crown Casino: After a walk along the gorgeous Southbank, take a walk inside the Crown Casino. The food court has tons of good options if you’re looking for something quick. I loved the Hutong Dumpling Bar, where I got a fried pork bun and a beef curry puff. Afterwards, you can check out the Melbourne Skydeck at the Eureka Tower for some seriously good city views.
