Planning a trip to the Mile High City? Here's a list of the best rooftop bars in downtown Denver.
54thirty: This open-air spot at the rooftop of Le Meridien is known as Denver's best rooftop, so expect a long wait if you don't have a booking. If you're keen on sticking around while on the waitlist, head to Peaks (at the Hyatt Regency) across the street. Once you've made it upstairs, expect great views of downtown and the mountains; and dress however you want--Denver is quite casual, so feel free to wear comfortable shoes (yay).
Peaks: Located on the 27th floor, Peaks has a lovely view of the mountains and the cityscape. As it's in the Hyatt Regency, often used as a convention center, expect lots of folks in suits and the like--it's a little less casual than its across-the-street neighbor, 54thirty.
Tap Fourteen: This place has such a good beer menu, and I absolutely love its layout--replete with lots of picnic tables and umbrellas. Enjoy a stunning view of the skyline and stadium. It and ViewHouse Ballpark are a block away from each other so they're perfect for bar-hopping.
ViewHouse Ballpark: This spot has a great view of the stadium (though I'm not going to lie, I much prefer Tap Fourteen), and it has indoors and outdoors sections. The outdoors one is in full sun exposure, so keep that in mind for a bright day. Also, do not order the food here! I got a Southwestern chicken salad--it was incredibly expensive, and not good at all. Still, I have this on the list because it's great for views and a casual catch-up.
