Can we think of situations in which nationalism is ever beneficial, for people at large (not one particular group)? It is inherently based on an "Us versus Them" mentality, is it not? Is this approach not archaic in a globalized, interconnected world? I am struggling to think of any examples of a nationalism that are not based on the superiority of an in-group, that are not based on sexism and/or racism.
Let me know what you think!
