Welcome to Tel Aviv, a haven of culture, sunshine, falafel, and gorgeous backdrops for your photos. No shame. Here I’ve rounded up some of the most stunning places to snap your pics.
Jaffa Port - Jaffa, also known as Yafo (Hebrew) or Yafa (Arabic) adjoins Tel Aviv to the south. If you want to get there by walking (and a beautiful walk it is), you can take the Tel Aviv Promenade (the Tayelet, in Hebrew) straight there. Enjoy the nonstop vistas of the sea and modern architecture along the way! Once in Jaffa, you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped back in time, as Jaffa has well preserved its Palestinian heritage. In the port area, you’ll find adorable spots for pics—including grassy areas, cobbled alleyways, and floral backdrops, most with a view of the sea (which I swear looks bluer here). The view of the Tel Aviv skyline is also incredible—check it out at sunset, too, and stay for a romantic dinner.
Florentin - I had friends who lived in Florentin, so I went all the time for home-cooked meals and cocktails. This also gave me a chance to check out all the graffiti and wall art. Although not my style, you can grab some grunge-chic photos of yourself here.
Neve Tzedek - If Florentin isn’t for you, then Neve Tzedek probably is! This charming neighborhood has become a hotspot for dining and celeb sightings, and you’ll find your fair share of adorable doors and flowers to make your Instagram pop. Check out restaurants Dallal and Suzanna while there!
Rothschild Boulevard - Rothschild Boulevard is bisected by a walking strip, replete with trees, grass, and even croquet. Lining it you’ll find gorgeous, imposing buildings and trendy restaurants.
The Yemenite Quarter - The Yemenite Quarter abuts Carmel Market, so right after devouring some amazing sabich, you can head here to enjoy a cozy and beautiful atmosphere. Pink flowers and cute doors—along with food vendors so authentic the menus aren’t in English—make it a perfect stop on your quest for pics.
Bauhaus Architecture - Built by German-Jewish immigrants between 1920 and 1940, Tel Aviv’s Bauhaus architecture is quirky and fun. Romp around the city center and explore the blocky, bizarre style--perfect for some high-fashion shots.
