Moulin Rouge is worth seeing for the setting alone. My friend and I sat in the Grand Circle--the furthest seating away from the stage--but we still had an impeccable view of the stage, and the scenery is so immersive that it didn't matter we were so far. As the music is a hodgepodge of contemporary songs (everything from The Rolling Stones to Adele, Beyonce and Elton John), the show is a fit for absolutely everyone. It follows the story of an American writer gone to Montmartre, where he meets the alluring performer Satine. The two embark on a passionate romance, filled with some very saucy dancing and an eclectic cast of supporting characters--including the Moulin Rouge's jealous and violent patron.
